Niagara Community Action Program, Inc., is a countywide agency dedicated to reducing poverty by initating and conducting programs of self-sufficiency. Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.
The following is a summary of the agency’s programs:
Neighborhood Centers Program
The Neighborhood Centers Program is an umbrella program that plays an integral part in the organization’s countywide efforts to reduce poverty and empower individuals to reach their fullest potential. The Neighborhood Centers are located in the following areas:

The Rural Preservation Program
The
Rural Preservation Program was implemented in 1986 to
preserve and enhance the housing stock of eligible residents
residing in the 12 rural towns and 5 rural villages of
Niagara County, New York (excluding the cities of Niagara
Falls, Lockport, and North Tonawanda).

Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program was implemented in 1976 to assist income eligible Niagara County residents with improvements in heating efficiency by producing fuel savings through energy conservation measures. Community Child Care Clearinghouse of Niagara
The
Community Child Care Clearinghouse of Niagara was implemented
in 1995 to coordinate, assist, and strengthen child care
services in Niagara County. Quality child care is a community resource that supports families, contributes to economic productivity, and nurtures children’s
growth.
